Heated Rivalry Season 2: Our Favorite Hockey Romantics Are Getting SERIOUS

Jacob Tierney, the brilliant showrunner behind our beloved hockey romance series Heated Rivalry, just dropped some major news about Season 2, and it sounds like things are getting delightfully intense for Shane Hollander (Hudson Williams) and Ilya Rozanov (Connor Storrie). Tierney revealed that the new season will dive into "much more serious territory" for our favorite couple, moving past some of the initial "hotel-room-adolescent-sex stuff" for a deeper look at their relationship.

We know, we know, it’s going to be different, but in the BEST way! Season 2 is pulling inspiration from Rachel Reid's book The Long Game, which focuses on the real challenges of being in a relationship after that initial slow-burn rush. Tierney even joked about calling it "Sex Scenes From a Marriage," which has us already picturing those intense, vulnerable moments between Shane and Ilya. Our boys are growing up, and we are HERE for the emotional rollercoaster.

And get this: parts of Reid's book Role Model, which follows Troy Barrett and Harris Drover, will also be woven into Season 2. Tierney shared that we'll be digging even harder into Troy's damaged character, adding another layer of drama to the ice. But don't you worry, Ilya and Shane remain the absolute heartbeat of the series. We can't wait to see how their world expands and how they navigate the grown-up realities of love. Bring on the drama, the feels, and more of Hudson and Connor!
