Guarding Stars
Why we love it ❤️
Leighton Meester as the one woman who is completely unimpressed by a movie star is the whole personality of this movie and we are fine with that. Hannah acting like she doesn't care while Jack tries so hard to make her laugh is exactly the kind of tension we sign up for every December. The bodyguard standing way too close for work reasons only is doing a lot for us. Christmas lights, banter and one very obvious crush, this is the group chat comfort movie of the season.
What is Guarding Stars about?
Hannah, played by Leighton Meester, is a serious bodyguard hired to protect Jack, a charming action star played by Jared Padalecki, over the Christmas season. Stuck together through the holidays, the two start to see past each other's public image. Secrets come out, tempers flare and the professional distance Hannah insists on gets harder to keep. Andie MacDowell and Walker Hayes round out the cast of this holiday romcom directed by Elizabeth Allen Rosenbaum.
