Teagan is the person giving orders in a boat full of boys who do not want to listen to her and that dynamic carries the entire show. the romance with Josh is what turns it personal instead of just an underdog sports story. Jessica Paré as her mom adds a whole extra layer because nothing in Teagan's life is allowed to be simple. by the final race you will care so much it is embarrassing. we already do.
What is Crew Girl about?
Teagan Tao (Miku Martineau) is sixteen and becomes the coxswain of the boys' rowing crew at an elite prep school, inheriting a troubled team that didn't ask for her. She deals with team drama, rival crews, a complicated relationship with her mom (Jessica Paré), and a romance with Josh Regis (Samuel Braun) that makes everything more complicated.
