Prime Video Threw a Whole Festival for Its Own Fans and We're Still Screaming
Okay so Prime Video basically built an entire theme park for people like us, and we need to talk about every second of it.
On June 27, the streamer hosted its first-ever **Obsessed Fest** in Los Angeles, the centerpiece of a new initiative called "Obsession Is In Session." Translation: an entire day dedicated to the YA and romance shows we have been screaming about into the void, except this time the cast showed up to scream with us. There were renewals, surprise cameos, new footage, and an ending nobody saw coming. We're still recovering. Let's get into it.
## They didn't just throw a press event, they built us a whole world
This was not your average junket. We're talking a literary lounge with author signings, recreated sets from our favorite shows for photo ops, a screening room, merch we would absolutely fight someone for, and food themed around scenes from the shows. Amazon MGM's Sue Kroll basically confirmed what we already knew: we don't just watch these stories, we live in them. Exactly.
The day also kicked off **Prime Book Club's** first-ever live event, because apparently our book-to-screen obsession needed its own holiday now.
## THE renewal: Every Year After is getting a season 2
Here's the headline we were waiting for: **Every Year After** is officially coming back for season 2, and it's adapting Carley Fortune's follow-up novel, *One Golden Summer*. The cast was there for panels and Q&As all day, soaking up the love (deservedly).
## New footage that has us counting down the days
We got fresh footage from **The Love Hypothesis** (Lili Reinhart and Tom Bateman, be still our hearts) ahead of its September release, plus full presentations on **Elle**, **Sterling Point**, **Clashing Through the Snow**, and **The Devil's Mouth**. Basically every title we've been keeping tabs on got its moment.
And if you somehow missed the pre-event teaser, it gave us first looks at **Off Campus**, **Every Year After**, **Elle**, **Sterling Point**, **The Last Sunrise**, **The Love Hypothesis**, **The Devil's Mouth**, **Maxton Hall** season 3, **Drawn Together (Marfil)**, **Your Fault: London**, **Perfectos Mentirosos**, and **Clashing Through the Snow**. Yes, that's a lot. No, we are not complaining.
## The cast showed up and then J.Lo showed up too
*Overcompensating* star and creator Benito Skinner kicked off the day before diving into a panel on the comedy's upcoming season 2. Casts from *Off Campus*, *Every Year After*, and *Maxton Hall* spent the day doing meet-and-greets and panels, which honestly sounds like our perfect day.
Then, completely out of nowhere, Jennifer Lopez walked out to introduce the *Off Campus* panel. We were not ready. And just when we thought it couldn't get more chaotic in the best way, the night closed out with an acoustic set from The Beaches. A whole vibe shift, and we were here for every second.
## So, is this happening every year?
Honestly, it better. Prime Video just proved it understands exactly what we want: more access, more lore, more excuses to obsess out loud with other people who get it. With this much YA and romance content on the way in 2026, "Obsession Is In Session" feels less like a one-off and more like the start of a very welcome tradition.
