Trina Vega getting her own show is the Victorious reunion content we manifested into existence and it actually happened. Daniella Monet stepping back into this character over a decade later and making her even funnier is not a surprise to anyone who remembers Trina stealing every scene she was ever in. Watching her try to mentor a new generation of theater kids while barely holding her own life together hits that perfect messy adult trying her best tone. Emmy and Pepper feel like they could slot right into the original show's chaos without missing a beat. This is nostalgia bait in the best possible way, it knows exactly what you loved and gives you more of it without feeling like a cash grab. If you grew up singing along to Make It Shine, you already know you are watching this one.
What is Hollywood Arts about?
Hollywood Arts brings back Trina Vega, played by Daniella Monet, as a struggling actress who returns to her old performing arts high school as a substitute teacher. She is unqualified for the job and has no real plan, but she ends up clashing with and inspiring a new generation of students anyway. Yvette Nicole Brown plays Helen, a staff member at the school, while Alyssa Miles and Emmy Liu-Wang play students Emmy and Pepper. The series is set at the same fictional Hollywood Arts High School from Victorious. Trina has to figure out how to actually help these kids while also facing what her own stalled career says about her.
