Off Campus Season 2: Release Date, Cast, Plot and Everything We Know
The good news? Season 2 is happening, it is already in motion, and we know enough about it to be very, very excited. Here's everything confirmed so far.
It was renewed before season 1 even dropped
Prime Video greenlit a second season back in February 2026, a full three months before the season 1 premiere on May 13. That almost never happens, and it tells you exactly how much confidence the network has in this show. Peter Friedlander, Amazon MGM's head of global TV, called out "its passionate fan base and rich source material" when announcing the renewal. In other words: they know what they have.
Filming already started
Showrunner Louisa Levy confirmed that all eight scripts for season 2 were written by premiere day. Ella Bright and Belmont Cameli then confirmed they were heading back to set basically immediately. Filming kicked off in late May 2026 in Canada, following the same production schedule as season 1 (which filmed June through October 2025). If the timeline holds, expect season 2 to land on Prime Video in spring 2027.
It's Dean and Allie's season now
This is the shift. After Dean Di Laurentis (Stephen Kalyn) and Allie Hayes (Mika Abdalla) slowly stole the whole show in season 1 as the secondary couple, season 2 is handing them the lead. Louisa Levy has confirmed this, and the source material lines up: the show is expected to adapt the rest of Elle Kennedy's third book, The Score, which follows Dean and Allie's messy, complicated, feelings-catching romance.
If you've read The Score, you know there is a lot left to cover. Allie figuring out life after graduation. Her dad's health. Dean's beef with his coach. The backstory with his high school girlfriend. And the devastating turn that their relationship takes mid-book that will absolutely destroy you in the best way. Book readers know. Non-book readers: hold on.
The season 1 finale already diverged hard from the source material by turning Hunter Davenport into Dean's rival instead of his mentee, so season 2 is going to have a lot to sort out there. Charlie Evans is expected back in a bigger role, and whatever that fight means for Dean and Allie is clearly the emotional engine of where this is all headed.
Two new characters are joining Briar U
India Fowler, who you might recognize from Fear Street: Prom Queen, has been cast as Grace Ivers. Grace is John Logan's love interest and the lead of Elle Kennedy's second book, The Mistake. Antonio Cipriano actually revealed the casting himself in an Instagram video inviting Fowler to join the Off Campus production in Vancouver. Logan has been quietly pining and causing chaos all of season 1, so giving him a real love story is very welcome.
Phillipa Soo (yes, Hamilton Phillipa Soo) is also joining as Scarlett, described as a theatre artist guest-directing an original play in Briar U's drama department. Allie is an aspiring actor, so the connection is not exactly subtle. We are obsessed.
Hannah and Garrett are staying
Breathe. Levy told TV Guide that she wants to "keep them around in season 2 and tell more story with them and just get to live in a world where they're together." They won't be the leads, but they will be present as the show figures out what comes next for them after the season 1 finale.
About Justin...
Josh Heuston will not be returning as Justin Kohl in season 2, due to scheduling conflicts with other projects. Levy was pretty clear about it but left the door open for later: "I love Josh and I would not write him off if I can find a way to bring Justin back at some point." The show still hasn't introduced Stella, the person Justin ends up with in the books, so there's a clear path to bring him back in a future season if it works out.

Season 2 of Off Campus is gearing up to be the Dean Di Laurentis slow burn era, and that Dean Di Laurentis slow burn era sounds like everything. New faces, returning chaos, and a couple that has been building since episode one finally getting their moment. Spring 2027 cannot come fast enough.
