Zoey Deutch carrying this premise while Jon Hamm plays himself as the person her fiancé used the hall pass on is so absurd it wraps all the way back around to genius. Gail is not doing this because she wants to cheat. She is doing this because someone turned a joke into a literal plan and now she has something to prove. Ben Wang as her accidental road trip companion is casting that should not work and absolutely does. Root for Gail. She has earned this.
What is Gail Daughtry and the Celebrity Sex Pass about?
Gail Daughtry (Zoey Deutch) has a celebrity hall pass agreement with her fiancé. When he exercises his with Jon Hamm, who plays himself, Gail sets off through Hollywood to even the scales with Caleb (Ben Wang) as her accidental companion. What starts as a mission to prove a point quickly becomes more complicated than she planned. A comedy about what actually happens when the hypothetical becomes very, very real.
