The MenuMovie · 2022

If you're into watching morally gray rich people get their just desserts, "The Menu" serves up a whole feast of tension and dark humor. Anya Taylor-Joy is giving absolute main character energy as the only guest who actually sees what's happening, while Nicholas Hoult plays a pretentious food bro so perfectly it hurts. This movie nails the "eat the rich" vibe with glamour and genuinely unsettling horror, making you question every fancy restaurant experience. It's a deliciously twisted ride that knows exactly what it's doing.
Margot and her food-obsessed boyfriend, Tyler, travel to a remote, exclusive island restaurant run by the renowned and intensely precise Chef Slowik. As the evening progresses, Chef Slowik unveils a meticulously crafted tasting menu that begins to reveal increasingly disturbing and personal courses. Margot, who seems out of place among the ultra-wealthy clientele, soon realizes that the "experience" goes far beyond gourmet dining. The night quickly escalates into a high-stakes game where the guests' lives are on the line, forcing them to confront their own roles in a system Chef Slowik despises.
