Sean needs a recommendation letter, Flora needs to pass her classes, and their dynamic has absolutely no business being this charged. The film is smart enough to let them actually clash. Flora isn't a manic pixie who just softens Sean, she genuinely challenges what he's working toward. Asher Angel does more with this role than the premise suggests.
