Lexi Minetree as young Elle Woods is the casting that makes complete sense and somehow still feels completely fresh, and watching her build the confidence that would eventually walk into Harvard is the best kind of prequel energy. Madhuri Dixit as Elle's best friend Rajjo is an addition to this universe that feels like the show saying it is doing something genuinely new with a beloved character and actually meaning it. The Legally Blonde IP in the hands of a cross-cultural creative team with Reese Witherspoon producing is exactly the kind of reinvention that earns the legacy it is working with. We are so ready for this.
What is Elle about?
Before Harvard Law and the pink briefcase, Elle Woods (Lexi Minetree) was a high school student figuring out who she was going to become. The series traces the friendships, setbacks, and early wins of Elle's formative years, showing how she became the woman fans know from Legally Blonde. Alongside her best friend Rajjo (Madhuri Dixit) and her family, Elle takes on the pressures of high school with her eyes already set on something much bigger. Executive produced by Reese Witherspoon and developed with Bollywood filmmaker Anubhav Sinha, the show premieres July 1.
