In "The Deb," high school outcast Taylah Simpkins pins all her hopes on the upcoming Debutante Ball as her chance to finally achieve popularity. Her plans get a shake-up when her cynical city cousin, Maeve, is sent to Taylah's small farm town as punishment. Maeve views the traditional ball as a total farce and immediately tries to disrupt the established social order. As they both navigate the complexities of fitting in and standing out, Taylah and Maeve must learn to find self-acceptance and, hopefully, a date for the big event.
