Echoes In Time
Why we love it ❤️
Bring the tissues because this one is going to gut you in the best way. The whole premise of a man using time travel just to protect the woman he loves from pain is exactly the kind of devotion that lives in our head rent free. Luke and Peta feel like real people who actually adore each other, not some overwritten movie couple, and that makes every scene hit twice as hard. You know going in that this is going to be an emotional gut punch and you watch anyway because the love story is that good. This is for anyone who wants a cry that actually means something by the end.
What is Echoes In Time about?
Computer engineer Luke Molan (Lincoln Younes) discovers a way to travel back through time and uses it to warn his wife, Peta (Maia Mitchell), about a cancer diagnosis that is still years away. Directed by Gemma Lee, the film moves between the couple's present life and the fragile window Luke has to change what is coming. As Luke tries to alter Peta's fate, he has to reckon with how much of their life together might shift if he succeeds. Peta, unaware of what her husband already knows, continues living her life while Luke quietly carries the weight of what is ahead. Every choice Luke makes puts their shared future at risk of unraveling in ways neither of them can predict.
