Hazel is having a whole main character crisis in real time and we are so here for it. One chaotic night, two men, zero good options, this is the messiest situationship setup we have seen in ages. Hillary Sproul plays her with so much nervous energy you can feel your own heart racing through the screen. The past love versus present love debate is going to have everyone picking sides before the credits even hit. This is the kind of one night bottle episode romance that turns into a group chat argument fast.
What is Cement about?
Hazel, played by Hillary Sproul, owns a nightclub and is trying to survive one relentless, chaotic night on the job. As the club fills up and the drinks keep pouring, Hazel gets pulled between two men from different chapters of her life, including Diluca, played by Bart Elliott. Nala, played by Janelle Yull, and Art, played by Tut Gregory, are both there for the night too, each pushing Hazel closer to a decision she has been avoiding. By the time the sun comes up, Hazel has to choose which version of her life she actually wants. Directed by Alek Abate, the film unfolds almost entirely over the course of a single evening.
