Katherine deciding she is done and just saying it out loud to her whole household is the energy we want to bring into every situationship ending in 2026. This period piece has all the corsets and candlelight but the drama underneath is fully modern, a woman done playing nice for the sake of appearances. Katie Vincent is out here writing, directing, and starring in her own divorce revenge fantasy and honestly we respect the range. One house, one night, and every secret finally spilling out, this is chaos theory but make it Gilded Age. If you love watching repressed people finally snap on camera, this one is going straight to your watchlist.
What is Plucked about?
Plucked is set in Gilded Age New York, where Katherine, played by Katie Vincent, has decided to divorce her emotionally unstable husband, Peter, played by Jared Canfield. What starts as a polite, civilized evening at home quickly spirals into pandemonium once Katherine puts her plan into motion. James, played by Tony Crane, and Maggie, played by Catherine Curtin, get swept into the chaos as old grievances and family secrets come out. Directed by Usher Morgan and Katie Vincent, the film plays out almost entirely within one house over one very long night. By morning, nothing about Katherine's household looks the same.
